A pinpointer helps check the sides of a target hole or excavated soil after a full-size detector has located a signal. Recovery time varies.
No, and we'd rather say so plainly. A pinpointer has a very short range by design — a few centimetres. It will not sweep a field or a beach for you. It is a recovery tool that works alongside a detector, not a replacement for one.
Yes. A pinpointer is completely independent — it has its own battery and its own speaker, and it doesn't plug into anything. It works with any detector, ours or anyone else's.
Check the individual model’s water-use limits. A waterproof search coil does not make the control box waterproof. Keep control boxes dry; do not submerge a pinpointer unless its supplied manual explicitly permits it.
No — batteries are not included. Each of our pinpointers takes one 9V battery, the same kind a smoke alarm uses, and any supermarket sells them.
Nearby metal or ground conditions can affect the signal. Switch on and retune as instructed in the supplied manual. Contact us if unexpected alerts continue.
