Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Overview

This website, terravynor.com (the "Site"), is operated by Thomas Bernard Calvet, trading as Terravynor ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader registered in France under SIREN 923 373 104. We offer this Site, including all information, tools and services available from it, conditioned on your acceptance of the terms, conditions and policies set out here. By browsing the Site or buying from us you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, together with the policies referred to in them: our Shipping Policy, our Return & Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site. Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to sell to you.

1. Using the Site

By agreeing to these Terms you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. You may not use our products for any unlawful purpose, nor use the Site in a way that breaches any law that applies to you, including copyright law. You must not transmit any malware or destructive code. Any breach of these Terms will end your right to use the Site immediately.

2. General conditions

Please use the Site lawfully and do not introduce malware or infringe anyone’s rights. You may not copy, resell or exploit protected Site content without our written permission.

Orders may be declined or cancelled for legitimate reasons, including suspected fraud or an obvious pricing error. If we cancel a paid order, we refund you in full without unnecessary delay. Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights.

Our online store and checkout are hosted on Shopify. Payment transactions are processed securely through the enabled payment providers.

3. Our products

We sell metal detectors, pinpointers, headphones, digging tools and related accessories for hobby detecting. We describe each product as accurately as we can, including its limits. We have made every effort to show colours and images faithfully, but we cannot guarantee that your screen displays them accurately, and small variations between a photograph and the item you receive are possible.

We do not publish detection depth figures, because real depth depends on your soil, its moisture, and the size and shape of the object. Our product pages explain the trade-offs between coil sizes and frequencies instead.

Offers are valid while stocks last. Descriptions and prices may change at any time. We may limit the quantity of any product offered, and discontinue a product at any time.

4. Prices, taxes and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include all taxes and duties payable on your order. The price that applies to your order is the one displayed at checkout when you buy. The price at checkout is the final price: there is nothing further to pay on delivery, no import VAT and no customs charge, as orders are shipped on a delivered-duty-paid basis. Payment is taken securely at the time of order through our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.

Prices may change without notice, and we are not liable to you or any third party for a price change, or for suspending or discontinuing a product.

5. Accuracy of your order information

Please give current, complete and accurate billing and delivery information, and keep it up to date so that we can fulfil your order and contact you. We may refuse or cancel any order, including orders that appear to come from dealers or resellers, and orders where we suspect fraud or a pricing error. If we cancel an order after payment, we refund you in full without delay.

6. Delivery

Delivery areas, costs, processing and transit times are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Risk in the goods passes to you when you, or someone you have nominated, takes physical possession of them.

7. Returns, refunds and your right to cancel

Returns are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which gives you 30 days of free returns with a prepaid label. That policy sits alongside, and does not replace, your statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

8. Safe and lawful detecting

Before detecting, obtain any required permission and check the rules that apply to your location. The requirements differ between England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, including permission, licences, protected sites and the reporting of finds. Follow the applicable official guidance and reporting deadlines.

Our UK detecting guide provides an introduction. It does not replace the permissions or legal requirements that apply to your outing. Take care near buried services, in water and on unstable ground.

Follow each product’s operating limits and instructions. A waterproof search coil does not make the control box waterproof: keep the control housing dry. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Accuracy of Site information

We aim to provide accurate and current product descriptions, prices, delivery information and availability. If an error affects your order, we will contact you to explain the issue and the proposed resolution.

Updates to website information do not remove your statutory rights or our responsibility to supply goods that match their description.

10. Third-party tools and links

The Site may include material from third parties or links to third-party sites that are not connected with us. We do not review or endorse their content and we are not liable for it. Please read their own terms and privacy policies before dealing with them.

11. Reviews and submissions

If you send us reviews, ideas or other material, you agree that we may use, edit, copy, publish and distribute it without restriction or payment. We are not obliged to keep it confidential or to respond. Your submissions must not infringe anyone's rights or contain unlawful, defamatory or obscene material, and you are responsible for their accuracy.

12. Intellectual property

The content of this Site — texts, photographs, graphics, logos and the Terravynor name — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. It may not be reproduced, distributed or exploited, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.

13. Liability

We remain responsible for the obligations we owe you under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Nothing limits your statutory consumer rights, including your rights to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the policies referred to in them are the whole agreement between us about your use of the Site.

15. Events outside our control

Events outside our reasonable control may affect fulfilment or delivery. If your order is affected, we will inform you and explain the available options. Such events do not automatically remove your statutory rights regarding delivery, cancellation or reimbursement.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by English law, subject to mandatory consumer protections applicable in your place of residence and obligations applying to the seller established in France. Nothing prevents you from using a court or remedy available under mandatory law.

For a complaint, email contact@terravynor.com with your order number and details of the issue. We reply within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. Contacting our customer service does not restrict your right to pursue an available legal remedy.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future orders. Changes published after an order has been placed do not retrospectively alter the terms agreed for that order or remove your statutory rights.
